Have you ever noticed that every album Eminem has ever recorded has somehow managed to piss people off. The Slim Shady LP pissed off his family, The Marshall Mathers LP pissed off gay's and feminists, The Eminem Show pissed off politicans, and Encore pissed off the fan's. I just thought it was weird, it's like no matter what he does or how hard he tries not to he always manage's to piss someone off. I just don't understand why people take so much offence to his records. I mean it's artistic expression, freedom of speech, music is a way to express yourself and people always get pissed off when Eminem expresses himself. Notice how Every Eminem album is unique in it's own way. Not one Eminem album sounds like the one that came before it. The Slim Shady LP was more of a humorious album mixed with a little bit of emotional stuff like "Rock Bottom" and "If I Had" it was ment to be funny, while at the same time expressing the hard ships of every day life in the world of the poor. The Marshall Mathers LP was more of a sarcastic album mixed with a little bit of the "in your face" stuff you know the stuff that says to the people who douted him "ha ha I made it, I'm famous, you thought I wouldn't make it and I did" you know the songs like "Marshall Mathers", while at the same time expressing his emotional side in "Stan" and expressing the hard ships of life in the world of fame in the song "The Way I Am" and throughout certain parts of the rest of the album and also expressing his anger towards certain members of his family. The Eminem Show was more of a serious album mixed with a little bit of explenation where he's expressing how he feels about his critics (mainly his political critics) while at the same time he's explaining certain things that have happened like the incident with Kim outside of Hot Rocks and also explaining everything about his relationship with certain family memebers of his like his mom, his daughter, his brother, and his dad. Encore was more of a comical album mixed with seriousness and explaintion. He expresses his veiws on politics on the song "Mosh" and in "Like Toy Soldiers" he's basicaly expressing how he feels about the whole battle with Ja Rule and Benzino. "Yellow Brick Road" was ment to explain the whole situation about the racial accusations that were brought up against him by Benzino because of a tape that Eminem recorded when he was 15 or 16 years old somewhere around that age. "Never Enough" was basicaly him saying that no matter what he does or how hard he tries it's never enough to please everybody there's always somebody who's gonna get pissed off at him and hate him. "Mockingbird" was him explaining to Hailie everything thats happened between him and Kim. "Spend Some Time" was basicly him explaining his relationship with Mariah Carry. While the song "Encore" was him saying that he changed the face of hip-hop and that if it weren't for him there would've been racisim in hip-hop. Which is true because lets face it without Eminem the white rappers that are out now wouldn't be out on mainstream because before Eminem came along every record label was afriad to sign a white rapper because of what happened with Vanilla Ice. No record company thought a white rapper could be successful but Dr. Dre took that chance anyway and signed Eminem even though he was white. Then Eminem blew up big time I mean he practically took over hip-hop for a little while there and these other record company's watched him and thought "well mabey we were wrong, mabey a white rapper CAN make it in the industry and mabey a white rapper CAN be successful" and that's when other record companys started following in Dr. Dre's footsteps and signing white rappers to their labels. If it weren't for Eminem there would be no white rappers in mainstream music. It would be all black rappers and purto rican rappers and that's the truth. Eminem changed hip-hop forever. He opened the door for rappers like Bubba Sparks and Paul Wall to come in. Eminem opened the door that Vanilla Ice had once shut and for that I think the world owes him a little bit of credit even though he'll probably never get the credit he deservers he said it himself in "Till I Collapse", "I'll probably never get the props I feel I ever deserve". He's right he probably never will get that validation he deservers. Unless someone does something about it and that is why I am starting this petition so please take a moment to read it and sign it thank you.
